Update to digital registration and contact tracing in-centre

Attention Customers,

Commencing Saturday 21 November, City of Sydney Leisure Centres will shift to using the Service NSW app and QR codes for digital registration and contact tracing purposes.

Digital registration has been made mandatory for all public swimming pools, and indoor recreation facilities by the NSW Government.

To achieve quick and efficient entry to the pool or gym, it is recommended all customers download the Service NSW prior to their next visit.

Click the below links to download the Service NSW App

Scanning a NSW Government QR code captures the business name, address and the customer’s contact details. The information is securely stored for 28 days for the sole purpose of contact tracing and can be instantly accessed by NSW Health in the event of an outbreak. After this time, it will be destroyed.

For customers who do not have access to a phone, the reception staff will assist with digital registration. Customers should be mindful of delays at entry should they not have access to a mobile device.

Using the Service NSW app to check in to a business, how it works;

  1. Find a poster with a QR code.
  2. Open the Service NSW app and scan the QR code.
  3. Confirm your contact details. Your information is pre-populated, so you do not have to enter data each time you check in to a business.
  4. NSW Health will contact you if there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 at a venue you’ve visited. Your information will only be used for contact tracing. No personal information is shared with the venue.
