We are REOPENING!

Attention Valuable Customers, More exciting news has just been announced… our facilities at Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre, Cook+Phillip Park Pool and Victoria Park Pool will reopen with restrictions from Tuesday 23 June! We have been working exceedingly hard with the City of Sydney to develop a framework of operating protocols detailed below. You can be assured that the measures we put in place will conform to the standards agreed with NSW government and which are being steered by eminent medical professionals and virologists.

Reopening Plan

We have a team of highly experienced leisure and safety professionals who are putting in place the necessary measures to ensure you, your friends and family are safe when you return. Our Six Element Plan 1. We will ensure that our Staff are safe and ready to welcome you, and they will have received the necessary Training in some new ways of working. 2. We will have Re-Commissioned our facilities so that technically and environmentally they are ready to receive you. 3. We will have ensured that our Supply Chain is re-established and capable of meeting new demands. 4. We will have put in place new and heightened Safety and Hygiene protocols. 5. Our Marketing and Proposition element will ensure that you are kept fully informed of the necessary changes we have to make 6. We will have re-purposed some of our facilities to more easily apply social distancing, such as:
  • Implementing the 25 metre turning booms to operate 2, 25 metre pools at Cook+Phillip Park Pool and Prince Alfred Park pool to allow more of our community to utilise our facilities at this time
  • Having an advance booking system that limits the number of customers in Group Exercise at any one time

Warming up is a way of preparing your body for exercise. As your body temperature increases you'll loosen your joints and increase blood flow to your muscles. That means less stress on joints and tendons. Warm, well-lubricated joints prepare the body to execute sudden and/or explosive movements with ease.

Of course, you are still welcome to train in the Centre as soon as we re-open.

For now, we wanted to continue to support your health & lifestyle goals.

Keep an eye on your emails for more information on how to get started.

Centre Closure

UPDATE 26 March 2020 The centre will remain closed until further notice. At the time of our last communication we were proactively closing the facility, and optimistic that the centre could reopen after an initial two-week closure. Given the escalating situation of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and after additional advice from the City of Sydney and the Prime Ministers address on 22 March, the centre will remain closed until further notice. A new reopening date will be sent to all members and guests as soon as it is available. A reminder that all memberships have been suspended free of charge during this time, and multi-visit passes will have the expiry date extended. 18 March 2020 We are proactively closing our Centre from COB Friday 20 March to COB Friday 3 April. Reopening on Saturday 4 April from 6am. Swim School and Squads will be closed from COB Thursday 19 March until we reopen. All memberships will be suspended free of charge and multi visit pass holders will have their expiry date extended. In light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments and as a result of the Commonwealth Government decision on public gatherings and advice from the City of Sydney, the Centre will be closed to all patrons as part of our efforts to ensure the continued wellness of our members and staff. As soon as we are all-clear to reopen, you’ll be the first to know! The good news is we have not received any information to indicate that an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 has been in the Centre. The Centre will continue to be vigilant in implementing infection control procedures including daily cleaning in accordance with normal protocols, the promotion of healthy hygiene habits and will make hand sanitiser available for staff and patrons to use upon re-opening. Follow the information and tips from the Department of Health to help improve your safety and wellbeing. https://www.health.gov.au/news/health-alerts/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-health-alert. We look forward to welcoming patrons back in Centre. Please direct all questions and queries to our Centre Manager, Brian Charles - bcharles@belgravialeisure.com.au
