We are REOPENING!

Attention Valuable Customers, More exciting news has just been announced… our facilities at Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre, Cook+Phillip Park Pool and Victoria Park Pool will reopen with restrictions from Tuesday 23 June! We have been working exceedingly hard with the City of Sydney to develop a framework of operating protocols detailed below. You can be assured that the measures we put in place will conform to the standards agreed with NSW government and which are being steered by eminent medical professionals and virologists.

Reopening Plan

We have a team of highly experienced leisure and safety professionals who are putting in place the necessary measures to ensure you, your friends and family are safe when you return. Our Six Element Plan 1. We will ensure that our Staff are safe and ready to welcome you, and they will have received the necessary Training in some new ways of working. 2. We will have Re-Commissioned our facilities so that technically and environmentally they are ready to receive you. 3. We will have ensured that our Supply Chain is re-established and capable of meeting new demands. 4. We will have put in place new and heightened Safety and Hygiene protocols. 5. Our Marketing and Proposition element will ensure that you are kept fully informed of the necessary changes we have to make 6. We will have re-purposed some of our facilities to more easily apply social distancing, such as:
  • Implementing the 25 metre turning booms to operate 2, 25 metre pools at Cook+Phillip Park Pool and Prince Alfred Park pool to allow more of our community to utilise our facilities at this time
  • Having an advance booking system that limits the number of customers in Group Exercise at any one time

Health Club Changes

At this stage we don’t expect there to be wait times due to reaching capacity, therefore you do not need to book (except Group Fitness). Some gym equipment will be unavailable for use to allow for social distancing rules. There will be a strict no towel, no train policy. You must use either a beach or bath towel to ensure that the entire area of the equipment is covered. All equipment must be wiped before and after use – you will find antibacterial wipes to use. The resumption of our Take Charge, Personal Training, Exercise Physiologist and Small Group Training programs is to be announced at a later date.
